Abstracts for 2015 Irrigation Symposium Due Oct. 31, 2014
The American Society of Agricultural & Biological Engineers has partnered with the Irrigation Association to host a joint irrigation symposium in 2015. The Irrigation Symposium, Nov. 10 – 12, 2015, will be held in Long Beach, Calif., in conjunction with the Irrigation Show & Education Conference. The theme of the 2015 event is “Emerging Technologies for Sustainable Irrigation: A Tribute to the Career of Terry Howell, Sr.”
Prospective presenters must submit a 150-word abstract to ASABE Meetings Manager Sharon McKnight ([log in to unmask]) by Friday, Oct. 31. All abstracts must be submitted electronically. Click here to download the abstract submission form.
Abstracts should include a concise description that explains the value of the information. Papers/presentations must be non-proprietary and educational in nature, not sales or product specific. Submissions may include research program results and case studies. Papers may be presented in SI units; translations are not permitted.
Presenters will be selected and notified by Nov. 30. Once accepted, each speaker will be required to submit a written paper by Jan. 15, 2015, along with a $250 publishing fee. The papers will be reviewed for format and returned to the authors for any needed edits. A final version of the paper for inclusion in the published CD proceedings will be required by May 1.
Presenters will receive a complimentary full registration to the Irrigation Show, which includes a copy of the conference proceedings CD and access to exhibits and the general session. Presenters are responsible for their own travel and hotel expenses.

Nov. 30- Paper/Poster acceptance notification
Jan. 15- Manuscript submission
Mar. 20- Anticipated manuscript first decision
May 1- Manuscript final revision due
